About Prophetess Tenisia
Prophetess Tenisia Evans, is the Senior Pastor of Divine Restoration Ministries and Heart 2 Heart Global Ministries. She is a dedicated, Proverbs 31woman committed to serving in the Spirit of Excellence. This virtue is one that she exhibits well and imparts to all who will receive. Prophetess Evans also serves as the Business Administrator, with a keen eye for details and a mind for business. She is the wife of Bishop J. Richard Evans, Sr., who is the overseer of Divine Restoration Ministries and Heart 2 Heart Global Ministries, the mother of five children, and the fabulous Gigi to eight beautiful grandchildren! Prophetess Evans joined her husband in ministry in 1998 when Divine Restoration Ministries was birthed. She has been ordained as a Pastor and a daughter in both the Rhema Fellowship of Churches out of Dallas, TX, under Bishop David E. Martin, and the Greater Works of Christ Fellowship of Detroit, MI under Apostle Wayne T. Jackson. Her commitment to assist in the restoration of broken lives has yielded much fruit. She has taken on the Women’s Ministry, mentoring and mothering young, single, mature, and married women giving the Body of Christ the example of what a godly woman should be. The Women’s Ministry evolved into Beauty for Ashes after the Lord brought her through a period of prolonged sickness, baffling doctors and defying every diagnosis, when He literally brought her back to life.
In February 2019, Bishop and Prophetess launched Heart to Heart Global Ministries, an expansion of the vision for Restoration Today Radio and Television programs in the form of face to face meetings – Conversations with James and Tenisia. The unique format took on relationships, not just singles and married couples but family relationships, workplace relationships, and relationships within the Body of Christ. In March of 2020, Bishop and Prophetess Evans responded to the worldwide Corona Virus pandemic by instituting a daily Facebook Live program, Daily Inspirations, 12 at 12. They became a beacon in the midst of the storm of uncertainty, giving hope, encouragement, and direction to people across the country. Beyond the church walls, Prophetess Evans along with her husband, have sought to give back to the community by founding Restoration House Community Center, a non-profit 501©3 that offers resources and referrals for individuals and families in the Tri-County area. In the past 25 years, they have adopted 2 schools and hundreds of families, assisting them with Christmas gifts through the annual Gifts for All God’s Children Program. That list has grown to include local low-incomefamilies, military families, as well as grandfamilies – the ever expanding demographic of grandparents taking on the task of raising their grandchildren.
In addition to these things Prophetess Evans is a successful businesswoman. A joint-venture with her husband, resulted in the unique operation – J. Richard Optical, the only African-American, Christian owned and operated, optical shop in the state of MI, blending optometry, accessories, and apparel. Entrepreneurs, the Evans also use their businesses to empower students, displaced workers, and mothers re-entering the workforce with the skills and the revenue needed to be able to compete in today’s job market. J. Richard Optical, J. Richard’s Hair Emporium, Divine Children of Destiny Daycare, Praying Hands Christian Supply House, T’s Shirts & Accessories, Girl Boss Fashions Beauty Bar & Boutique, Girl Boss Fashions Lakeside, The Look Clothing Company, Girl Boss Fashions Partridge Creek Mall, Girl Boss Fashions Macomb Mall, and Girl Boss Fashions Downtown Detroit, have opened the door of opportunity and given people hope where there was none. The latest venture, Boss Baby Early Learning Center opened in the Spring of 2023 and gave parents a safe space to bring their children where they are growing mentally through hands on lessons and through information technology. The success of Boss Baby showed Prophetess that her passion for growing our youth is valuable and needed. She will be expanding this summer with the opening of Gampi’s Early Learning Center. Beyond a business opportunity, the businesses are used as a way to minister to men and women from all walks of life, regardless of their size or color.
In the midst of the pandemic, Prophetess Evans launched a business mentorship program called Girl Go Get It, aimed at assisting women with starting their own businesses. Utilizing the power of social media, she is building a network of women who are confident and well equipped to run thriving businesses, wherever they may find their niche to be. This mentorship program has allowed Prophetess to pour into more than just women but even teenage girls and men who feel like the rapid growth of entrepreneurship is out of their reach. Prophetess Evans is also a diligent student, having received her Associates in Business Administration, her Bachelors degree in Computer Information Systems as well as her Masters in Digital Marketing which she completed in the Summer of 2023. She implements Phil. 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me” in her daily life by simply saying, “We can do this thing!” Surely, greatness lies in the very near future for one who has literally given their life for the Master.
